What is an X-ray?

Diagnostic Radiology (Plain Film): Plain film radiography is safe, noninvasive, and quickly performed. The average exam takes no more no more than 10-15 minutes per body part (eg. Knee X-ray). For most X-rays no patient special preparation is needed. X-rays are ionizing radiation, so please inform the technologist if there is any possibility that you are pregnant.

Preparation For X-ray Examination:

There is no advanced preparation for general X-ray.
